Luke 15 reminds us that the parable of the lost son is really about two lost sons and one loving Father. The younger son was lost through rebellion, while the older son was lost through pride and religious performance. Both were far from the Father's heart, yet the Father pursued them with grace, showing that God's love isn't earned by good behavior or lost through failure. The gospel invites us to come home and rest in the truth that nothing can make God love us more or less.
